  THE OWNER OF A HISTORIC CHEESESTEAK SHOP IN PHILADELPHIA SAYS HE'S CHANGING ITS CONTROVERSIAL NAME.  CHINK'S STEAKS OWNER JOE GROH SAYS HE'LL CHANGE THE NAME TO JOE'S STEAKS & SODA SHOP ON APRIL 1.  FOR YEARS, CIVIL RIGHTS GROUPS HAVE PROTESTED THE CURRENT NAME BECAUSE OF ITS REFERENCE TO A RACIAL SLUR.  GROH SAYS "IT'S TIME TO GET WITH THE TIMES."  THE SHOP IN NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA OPENED IN 1949 AND WAS NAMED FOR FOUNDER SAM "CHINK" SHERMAN, WHO DIED IN 1997.  HIS WIDOW TOLD THE PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS IN 2004 HE WAS GIVEN THE NICKNAME BY NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS.  ASIAN-AMERICAN GROUPS HAVE LONG PETITIONED FOR A CHANGE. SEVERAL YEARS AGO, HOWEVER, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE SIGNED A PETITION IN FAVOR OF KEEPING THE ORIGINAL NAME.

  STATE AGRICULTURE SECRETARY GEORGE GREIG HOPES THAT BY THE TIME TOMORROW IS OVER, THE STATE WILL HAVE SOLD 100,000 DOG LICENSES THIS MONTH.  "THIS IS A REMINDER TO GET YOUR DOG LICENSED BECAUSE THERE WILL BE DOG WARDENS OUT CANVASSING COUNTIES AND LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT LICENSED THEIR DOGS," GREIG SAYS.  STATE LOG REQUIRES ALL DOGS THREE MONTHS AND OLDER BE LICENSED EVERY YEAR.  IF THE STATE MEETS ITS GOAL, PETSMART SAYS IT WILL DONATE $10,000 TO A CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA ORGANIZATION THAT TRAINS AND PROVIDES SERVICE AND HEARING DOGS.

  IN ADDITION TO HELPING UNVEIL THE STATE'S NEW VISITPA.COM WEBSITE, FIRST LADY SUSAN CORBETT WAS PRESENTED THE FIRST MAP OF THE POCONOS IN THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAP SERIES.  SHE SAYS HAVING THE POCONOS SELECTED FOR THE SERIES IS A BIG DEAL.  "NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC HAS SELECTED THIS REGION AS THEIR NEXT DESTINATION MAP AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT A POWERHOUSE FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC IS," MRS. CORBETT SAYS.  10 OTHER REGIONS OF THE COUNTRY, INCLUDING THE FINGER LAKES AND THE FLORIDA KEYS, HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR THE SERIES.
