WANT TO BE A RADIO INTERN?



Do you have what it takes to be our next B104 / WZZO Intern? If you have a true interest in the radio industry, we want to meet you!

As a B104 / WZZO intern you will assist in the Promotions Department Below is a list of tasks that our B104 / WZZO interns handle.

Promotion Department Interns (An Attention to Detail is Helpful!):

Assist with set up & execution of station events & live broadcasts; attend various charity events throughout the semester; Appear at events as the B104 Bee Mascot; Maintain station public service file & website; Call Prize Winners; Maintain the Contest Winner Database; Help out with the station website including taking flip video & photos; Assist our AM Stations (WAEB & FOX SPORTS) with web updates & events; And much more!

In addition to helping out with the promotional tasks listed above you will gain exposure to all aspects of radio station programming; You’ll become familiar with on air duties, procedures and production; And you'll assist the Morning Show with some on air duties and production.

RADIO SALES INTERNSHIPS -

Intern duties will include competitive media research, act as an assistant to sales managers, sales assistants, and account executives. Intern will also compile a weekly newsletter sent to all staff containing industry news and current events and assist with station events such as the B104 Bridal Show and WZZO’s Cinco de Mayo event.

Sales Internships - Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

Students who are interested in pursuing a career in Advertising, Marketing, PR, or Sales are encouraged to apply. This internship will provide students an opportunity to learn about radio and the marketing opportunities we can provide clients. This internship is designed for students who are in their last semester of college.

Things to note when applying:

- Internships are NON-PAID.
- You MUST be in college and able to receive college credit.
- You MUST have a valid driver’s license & transportation.

- You should be web savvy!
- Some Weekend Work is required!
- Interns are required to attend major station events & charity appearances.
- Able to lift at least 20 pounds / Including load in/out of station vehicles;

Ability to Interact with Large Crowds / Talk with Listeners via Phone!
