Ms. Klinger has instilled a confidence in her that will forever stay with her. She uses her lunch period to help if Madison is struggling. She was able to get an A in Math, something Madison never thought she could do, but Ms. Klinger always believed in her. All the students love her and say she keeps them laughing. She has genuine concern for every student and works hard to make sure that they are confident and knowledgeable. Every student should have a teacher like Ms. Klinger. She highly deserves that Teacher Salute to let her know that she is greatly appreciated by all. She has shown my daughter, who did not like school, a true love for education. Madison loves to go to school every day just to learn and see Ms. Klinger!"

One day, after conferences, I remember commenting to my daughter, “I would love to have a teacher like that." She comes home every day and brings his name up with some extravagant story. When we ask her what she learned, she answers confidently with math problems and explains the solutions. I have never seen my daughter this inspired to learn! I am so grateful to know Mr.K and have him work with my daughter! I wish that he wasn’t retiring this year, because he is a true example of a teacher!"

What Morgan Had to Say: "Mr.K is a true inspiration to all of his past and current students. He is the one and only teacher that can be a teacher and a super hero. He has been someone who I can trust, rely one, and look up to. I really needed and wanted a role model to look up to. Mr.K is the perfect role model. He teaches to different learning styles daily! He truly makes all 27 of us feel special and I don't want him to leave Milford Middle School. Mr.K has been teaching for so long. He had my brother and sister and they told me he was amazing and they were wrong. Mr.K is more then amazing that there isn't a word for him. I will greatly miss him next year. He truly deserves this award!"

Check out what Taegen's mom had to say about Mrs. Skrapits:

"Mrs. Skrapits has been a wonderful teacher for the past two years. The genuine love she has for her students is amazing. My son had the honor of having her for his teacher in both 2nd and 3rd grade. She works in a district with many disadvantaged children and inspires them to excel in the classroom. Her students glow from all of the encouragement and reinforcement she's given them. Mrs. Skrapits also speaks fluent spanish and has been a great asset to a school with many spanish speaking families. One of the greatest inspirations my son and many other students from his class received from Mrs. Skrapits is the love of reading. She helped my son develop his passion for reading and it continues to grow. She's recommended many books and given him the drive to challenge his reading skills. Mrs. Skrapits was instrumental in getting my son into a gifted program. She is able to teach in a manner to encompass all the different levels of learning in her classroom. She inspires each student to do their best. I had the opportunity to visit her classroom on a couple occasions and I was amazed at the relationship she has with her students. I had never seen a group of students with so much respect and love for their teacher. Not once did she ever raise her voice to bring them back to attention. Each student was eager to follow her directions at all times. One of our best memories is the DVD she made for the class. She took videos of the different activities they participated in throughout the year and put the clips together with music for each of the kids to keep as a memory of their year together. We could go on and on about Mrs. Skrapits and we believe that she deserves to be honored for all of the work she does as a teacher."

Thank you to Mrs. Skrapits for being such a wonderful teacher!!

Mr. Nolan has never given up on Domonick but found ways to connect with him to help him learn. Domonick has no hesitation with going to school and I believe it is because of Mr. Nolan. Domonick said, "he teaches in a fun way and encourages us." I would love to nominate All the teachers at Alburtis Elementary but Mr. Nolan stands out. I once heard Mr. Nolan say that he is blessed to be teaching. This leads me to believe that he realizes his importance as a teacher and genuinely enjoys his work. Domonick and Mr. Nolan have a rapport with each other as I am sure he has with his other students. Mr. Nolan is able to adapt to his students' needs yet maintain their respect. Children are so influential and I am grateful that there are teachers, such as Mr. Nolan, that realize this. Thank you for this opportunity to acknowledge such a wonderful teacher."

Ms. Walker was nominated by her student: Connor C. and his mom Kristin!

This is what Connor's Mom Kristin had to say about Ms. Walker:

"Since the beginning of the school year, Ms. Walker has been so influential in my son's behavior in school. She has taken his whole outlook of being a class clown to harnessing his talents as a leader within the class. Connor has always been a bright student, however, she saw the potenital that is in Connor early on and encourages this strongly to the point that Connor does not want to be the class clown anymore, but someone who can do great things. This ability to see and encourage greatness in our children is what makes a memorable teacher. Congrats to Miss Melissa Davis - 12th Grade Science Teacher at Northampton Area High School for being our B104 Teacher Salute Winner for November!

Miss Davis was nominated by her student: Samantha L.

This is what Samantha had to say about Miss Davis:

I would Like to nominate Miss Davis because not only is she an awesome teacher but she is a role model. She is the kind of teacher who treats her 12th grade students as adults and not little children...because she treats us this way, she can prepare us for college and the real world. She is my biology teacher, and she deserves a day at the spa with all the crap we give her throughout the day! Miss Davis is an outstanding teacher, student herself, and all around idol to other students and myself. Most of us wish we could have half her will power. Miss Davis got a double knee cap replacement over the summer and worked soo hard just to come back and teach in September! Now tell me, is that not a teacher worth receiving a day at a spa to just relax?!

For being our Teacher Salute winner for the month of November... Miss Davis will receive a gift certificate to Meera Salon and Day Spa as well as a class pizza party from Little Caesars (delivered by B104's Mike and Steph!)

Thank you Miss Davis for being a wonderful teacher!
