As a parent, I am so proud of my son, he has learned to read & write in kindergarten! One of our favorite things that Mrs. Caton does for her class is she has the students send 100 postcards from family & friends directly to the school. They mark them on a Map, then put the postcards up on a wall. The goal is to get 100 postcards for the 100th day of school! For the last 25 years she has been doing this & they always reach their goal!! This year they received over 300!! What a great way to teach children about geography! She's the best!!"

Wanda Said: I am nominating my daughter’s 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Towers; Mrs. Towers is a compassionate individual which is reflected in her teaching; she understands that each student has a unique learning style and adjusts her teaching style to ensure each student is achieving at their academic level. At the start of the school year, Mrs. Towers establishes a parent-teacher relationship to ensure the student is achieving at their academic level. In this third grade class there is a student that needs extra guidance to stay focus on his academics and at times he is disruptive to the other students learning. Mrs. Towers is understanding and patient with this student, as well as to ensure all the other students’ academics are not disrupted. She does an amazing job with balancing this classroom.

Rachael Said: Mrs. Towers makes learning a fun experience. I enjoy being part of Mrs. Tower’s class.
