Gossip site TMZ may think twice the next time they publish a story about Justin Bieber. In the spirit of April Fool's Day, the star used his Twitter power to pull a prank on the site that's been covering his recent meltdown almost non-stop since last month.
Early Monday, he tweeted to his 36 million followers that, "as promised" he was "taking all fan phone calls," along with a 888 toll-free number - which actually was the number for the TMZ tip line!
Justin quickly removed the tweet, but it was up long enough for Beliebers everywhere to call the number in hopes of hearing the star on the other end.
The prank could turn out to be an expensive one for TMZ, as they foot the bill for every dial-in they receive.
Good one J. Biebs!
